Sept. 13 – 15 @ the Rock and Dock Marina
Cleveland, OH – September 5, 2019 – The 3rd annual Progressive North Coast Harbor Boat Show will be the center of downtown Cleveland activity when it fills the harbor’s Rock and Dock Marina, September 13 – 15, 2019. The show will feature dozens of new pleasure boats ranging from small fishing models to large luxury cruisers, and on-site demos will be offered to qualified buyers. One of the hottest trends in watercrafts, eFoiling, will also be on display when eFoil Over Erie joins the docks this year. With FREE admission and enticing food and drink specials from Nuevo Cleveland, the Rock and Dock is the perfect place to wrap up another great Cleveland summer!
“It’s an opportunity for northern Ohio dealers to showcase their boats in an exceptional location in the heart of our major market city,” explains Michele Burke, president of the Lake Erie Marine Trades Association, which stages the event. “It’s also an end-of-season sales event in which all 2019 models will have special closeout pricing. There will be a limited number of pre-owned boats dockside as well,” she adds.
Among the special show features this year will be the “Pleasure of Sailing Experience” offered by Cleveland’s Riverfront Yacht Sales. The free Sailing Experience is a 1-hour hands-on sail out on Lake Erie for adults and children 12 & up. It will highlight the basics of sailing, give each guest a turn at the helm, and be offered all three show days from the end of Dock B aboard a Jeanneau 38-foot cruising sailboat.
One of the hottest new trends in watercrafts, eFoiling, will also be on display and will be presented by eFoil Over Lake Erie. The eFoil is a self-propelled unit similar to a surfboard but it combines the modern technology of electric vehicles with an applicable hydrofoil design. The result is a performance ride that will let riders surf on Lake Erie without waves or wind. Think “hoverboard” on water. Daily riding demonstrations will be presented throughout the 3-day boat show.
“Cleveland is a boating and fishing hub with clubs and marinas across the lakefront,” says Burke. “This whole event is an opportunity to showcase boats and the urban boating lifestyle in the heart of our city. Most major boat brands will be represented in the show and the atmosphere in this harbor is one of energy and activity. It’s surrounded by the iconic Rock Hall, Great Lakes Science Center, the floating Steamship William G. Mather Museum, the USS Cod Submarine Museum, discounts on the Goodtime cruises, and the excellent Nuevo Restaurant with live music overlooking the boat show.”
