NORTH COAST BOAT SHOW DATES ANNOUNCED
Dates for the 2019 edition of the Progressive North Coast Harbor Boat Show have been announced for September 13-15.
The 3-day free event will feature 100 power and sailboats displayed in the “Rock & Dock Marina” located in the shadow of Cleveland’s iconic Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. Boats will include fishing models, family runabouts, cruisers, motor yachts and sailboats.
“Because it’s in the heart of a major city, the setting makes this show unique is several ways,” says Michele Burke, president of the Lake Erie Marine Trades Association. “We will purposely open on Friday before lunchtime so workers from the many nearby office buildings can stroll down to the waterfront and board the boats.
“Over the weekend,” continued Burke, “we anticipate a large turn out of boating enthusiasts from across northern Ohio, many of whom may be getting their first look as our North Coast Harbor and all it offers for the first time. After all, the setting is one of energy and fun, not just because the Rock Hall is there, but it’s surrounded by the Great Lakes Science Center, the floating Steamship William G. Mather Museum, the popular Nuevo Restaurant and the city towers up over all of it for a truly unique background.”
For the exhibiting dealers from across northern Ohio, it’s not just “show and tell” event, it’s a true “show and sell” happening. All the boats will be open for boarding and most will boast varying sales incentives. For example, new 2020 models being displayed may have introductory pricing and other incentives, like free winter storage and early orders for guaranteed spring delivery. Meanwhile, this year’s leftover models will be priced for clearance.
This show, now in it’s third year, has both grown in popularity and drawn increasing attention to Cleveland’s lakefront offerings. It is produced by the Lake Erie Marine Trades Association. Admission to the show is free. Hours are: Friday (Sept. 13) 11am to 7pm; Saturday (Sept. 12) 11am to 7pm.;Sunday (Sept. 16) 11am to 5pm.
